Kira is the name the public has given to those who are responsible for the mass murder of criminals. Kira is the alter ego of Light Yagami.

Kira believes that the world is stagnant and full of evil. Being super intelligent and possessing what he considers a perfect sense of justice, Kira feels that he is the only person capable of fixing the world. He intends to do this by using the Death Note to rid the world of those who cause others harm. In this way, he plans to become the just god of this world.
