Village Hidden in the Leaves

The Village Hidden in the Leaves is the village within the Land of Fire This is the main location in the series so far. The kage of this village is known as the Hokage.

Though we have more information on this village than all the others, there are still many places where our information is sparse. We known that the village was attacked by the Nine-Tailed Fox twelve years before the beginning of the series. This demon was only defeated when the Fourth Hokage sacrificed himself and sealed the beast within a newborn child. The village also participated in the Land of Fire's war against the Land of Lightning up until nine years before the start of the series. That is the time when a peace agreement was signed, Hinata Hyuga turned three, and Neji Hyuga was marked with the Hyuga clan's curse mark jutsu.

The latest happenings of the village come in the form of an attack by the combined forces of the Sand and Sound villages. This chapter is currently unfolding and little is known other than that the attack is organized by and the idea of Orochimaru, a former student of the The Third Hokage himself.
