The Village Hidden in the Sand is the village within the Land of Wind. The kage of this village is known as the Kazekage.

The current state of this village is unknown. They are attacking the Leaf Village, but, besides their connections to Orochimaru, the reasoning is unknown. Whether Orochimaru is in control or not, we do not know. We also do not know the backgrounds of their genin squad that has been featured heavily in the series.
